I like the upper portion of the park. Has historic look and has the last Toll Booth in CT intact on the premises. Not a great place for a walk as it is very hilly. The kids swings are gone which is too bad, and the little pond is too over grown to see anymore. The pavilions are in good shape if you are looking for that
Love this place. I usually just mill about the toll booths and talk to myself. They say this place is haunted.
Train museum is great. Wish they took better care of the playground down the hill better. It's washed away so much there's big drops off the slides. And I wish they opened the buildings more often. They're cool to look into though for s casual walk.
I often come here for lunch and I love sitting underneath the old toll booths while I nom on my sandwich. Plenty of places to walk, relax, and to enjoy The Eclectic nature of the park. There is a playground here from a little ones and they do have picnic shelters available for reservation.
Great place to bring the family for some historical facts and information about both Stratford and Connecticut in general. I would not say you would want to spend the whole day here, but definitely a fun and interesting place to go for a few hours.
